Sights

The Beach of Komos

 

The beach of Komos is one of the largest and most beautiful beaches in southern Crete. It has an organized beach with umbrellas and a lifeguard. Due to the length of the beach it also has an area for nudism! You can also enjoy nature at her best while taking a horse-ride along the sand hills during a beautiful sunset!

It is also one of the few beaches in Greece where the Kareta-Kareta turtles lay their eggs.

During antiquity it was one of the most important ports in southern Crete.

It is accessible by car from Pitsidia or you can even get there on foot which will only take you 15 minutes!
